LXA and another v Willcox (as personal representative of the estate of Edward Willcox, deceased) and another

Damages – Personal injury. The claimants were awarded £115,040 and £186,011.08 for personal injuries and other losses arising out of the sexual and physical abuse they suffered at the hands of their adoptive parents. The Queen's Bench Division exercised the discretion to disapply the provisions in s 11 of the Limitation Act 1980, as there were good reasons for the delays in the cases and a fair trial of all the issues was possible.
