JY v RY

Family proceedings – Orders in family proceedings. There was no hesitation in finding three allegations made by the mother against the father proved, but the remaining seven allegations could not be found proved, absent the clearest corroboration from independent sources. The Family Court further raised a number of concerns and made observations, including that the outcome would likely have been different and a truer reflection of the facts had the parties been represented, and the proceedings would have concluded sooner, more fairly and at far less expense to the public purse.
