The respondent General Medical Council's Medical Practitioners Tribunal panel had been fully entitled to conclude that the appellant medical practitioner, for a period of five years, had had no sufficient indemnity cover to insure his engagement in private medical practice. The Administrative Court held that the tribunal had been correct to conclude that the appellant had been dishonest and that it was unassailable that erasure from the medical practitioners register had been necessary in the circumstances.
