IT (Jamaica) v Secretary of State for the Home Department

Immigration – Decision to deport. The Court of Appeal, Civil Division, in allowing the appellant Secretary of State's appeal, held that, in considering revoking a deportation order, the relevant questions were whether the continuation of the order was unduly harsh and whether very compelling reasons had to be shown to establish undue harshness. To answer that question, the public interest had to be brought into account.
