Hughmans (a firm) v Dunhill (Suing on her own behalf and as litigation friend on behalf of W (a young person))

Practice – Summary judgment. The Court of Appeal, Civil Division allowed an appeal by the client against the grant of summary judgment to a firm of solicitors for payment of fees and interest. The court further held, in relation to parts of the client's counterclaim in respect of loss and damage, that there was a real prospect of success that could not be properly resolved without further inquiry.
