Contract – Breach of contract. The claimants employees of the first defendant company in the AIG group succeeded, in part, on their claim for damages for breach of contract, concerning deductions made from bonus plans (the plans) operated by AIG-FP, following the 2008 bail out of the group. The Commercial court granted judgment against AIG-FP, with damages to be assessed. However, in considering the claimants' 'alter ego' tortious claim, the court ruled that, on the facts, AIG Inc was not liable to the claimants for the tortious interference in the operation of the plans, as the claimants had alleged.
