Goyal v Goyal

Divorce – Appeal. The Court of Appeal, Civil Division, allowed a husband's appeal against an order made on the wife's application for a pension sharing order. There had been no jurisdiction, outside the Matrimonial Causes Act 1973, for the judge to have made the order that he had which had been aimed at achieving the transfer of the pension annuity policy, which was in India, to the benefit of the wife and, in the meantime, payment to her of the income.
