Glaxo Wellcome UK Ltd v Sandoz Ltd

European Union – Trade marks. The Chancery Division held that the second respondent company's trade mark did not satisfy art 4 of Council Regulation (EC) 207/2009. It was not sufficiently precise and uniform. Nor was it sufficiently clear and unambiguous. Accordingly, the trade mark had been invalidly registered, resulting in its claim against the applicant company, for infringement of the trade mark, to be dismissed.
