Solicitors – Solicitors Discipline Tribunal – Professional misconduct. Court of Session: Refusing an appeal by a solicitor who was found guilty of professional misconduct in disciplinary proceedings and who challenged the decision that his name should be struck from the Roll of Solicitors, the court rejected contentions that the discipline tribunal incorrectly found that there was dishonesty on the petitioner's part, or failed to recognise that dishonesty was not averred; that it failed adequately to distinguish between the role of the petitioner and another partner of his firm in relation to their relative culpability; and that it adopted an erroneous approach to question of sanction.
