The Chancery Division allowed an application made by the claimant governing body of the Premiere League, for an injunction requiring the defendant internet service providers to take measures to block, or at least impede, access by their customers to streaming servers which delivered infringing live streams of Premier League footage to UK consumers. The court held that it had jurisdiction to make the order, and that it was appropriate for it to use its discretion to do so.
