Immigration – Leave to enter. The Entry Clearance Officer in Sierra Leone (ECO) had been correct in refusing the respondent's application for entry to the United Kingdom on the basis that there was no good claim for entry clearance to be granted either within the Immigration Rules or outside the rules on the basis of the respondent's rights under art 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights and the Human Rights Act 1998. The Court of Appeal, Civil Division so held in allowing the ECO's appeal from a decision of the Upper Tribunal.
