Medical practitioner – Disciplinary proceedings. The Administrative Court held that the appellant's appeal was out of time and could not be heard by the court, in a case where a doctor submitted his appeal against a decision of the Medical Practitioners' Tribunal on the last day of the appeal period and failed to provide evidence with his fee exemption request which was less than three-months old. The fee was not paid until the appeal period expired and consequently, the appeal was out of time. There was no statutory power to extend the time limit in those circumstances, and no obligation to do so under the European Convention on Human Rights, or the Equality Act 2010.
