European Union – Civil and commercial matters. Articles 4(1) and 7 of Regulation No 805/2004 should be interpreted as meaning that an enforceable decision on the amount of costs related to court proceedings, contained in a judgment which did not relate to an uncontested claim, could not be certified as a European Enforcement Order (EEO). The Court of Justice of the European Union so held in a preliminary ruling in the course of proceedings concerning the request for certification as an EEO of a decision on the amount of the costs of court proceedings in a judgment not concerning an uncontested claim.
