Building contract – Adjudication. The second claimant adjudicator was entitled to recover statutory interest under an adjudication agreement, where the agreement had been made between him and the defendant. The defendant, who was a building contractor acting as a sole trader, had been acting as a trader for purposes relating to his business and not as a consumer when he had entered into the building contract that contained the adjudication agreement. Accordingly, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 SI 2013/3134 did not apply.
