Town and country planning – Permission for development. The local planning authority's decision to grant the interested party planning permission for redevelopment of a site on Metropolitan Open Land (MOL) had been lawful. The Court of Appeal, Civil Division, among other things, agreed that very special circumstances existed to justify the grant of planning permission for 'inappropriate development' on MOL.
