Britchford (a protected party by her litigation friend the Official Solicitor) v Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Partnership NHS Trust

Medical practitioner – Negligence. There was no medical reason why the stroke suffered by the claimant could not have been one event with no prodromal symptoms. Accordingly, the Queen's Bench Division, in dismissing the claimant's claim, held that the defendant NHS Trust's failure to diagnose the stroke the day before was not in breach of duty.
