Medical practitioner – Disciplinary committee. In erasing the appellant doctor's name from the register in place of the Medical Practitioners Tribunal (the Tribunal) decision to suspend registration for 12 months, the Court of Appeal, Civil Division, held that the Divisional Court had been in error. Further, it had been permissible for the Tribunal to take into account that the appellant was a competent and useful doctor, who presented no material danger to the public, and could provide considerable useful future service to society.
