Solicitor – Disciplinary proceedings. The Divisional Court dismissed the appellant solicitor's appeal against the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal's findings against him and imposition of a fine of £2,500. In particular, the tribunal had been entitled to find that he had not informed his client that he had proposed to act in a capacity other than that of a solicitor, namely, as a McKenzie friend. The respondent Solicitors Regulation Authority's appeal against the penalty was allowed and a fine of £6,000 substituted.
