European Union – Trade marks. The General Court of the European Union dismissed the action by Azur Space Solar Power GmbH (Azur) against the decision of the Fourth Board of Appeal of the European Union Intellectual Property Office concerning the international registration by Azur, designating the European Union, of a figurative mark representing black lines and bricks. The General Court held that the Board had been right to find that the mark applied for was, for the relevant public, devoid of any distinctive character with regard to all of the goods concerned, in accordance with art 7(1)(b) of Council Regulation (EC) 207/2009.
