Insolvency – Income payments orders. Section 335(2) of the Insolvency Act 1986 clearly indicated that amounts under an income payments order continued to be payable after a later bankruptcy order, and the fact that s 335 did not apply to a discharged bankruptcy could not itself override the continued existence and operation of the income payments order. Accordingly, the Chancery Division dismissed the appellant bankrupt's appeal against the district judge's order that a second bankruptcy order did not have the effect of discharging an income payments order operating under a previous bankruptcy order.
