Immigration – Asylum seeker. The Administrative Court allowed the claimant Mauritian national's application for judicial review of the defendant Secretary of State's certification of her asylum and human rights claims as clearly unfounded. The Secretary of State had not been entitled to conclude that her fears of ill-treatment had been clearly unfounded because of the sufficiency of state protection and, if there had been an insufficiency of protection, it had been arguable that it had been to do with the fact that the claimant was a woman.
