Natural justice – Judge. There was a real possibility that a judge presiding over winding-up proceedings could have been influenced by his concurrent judicial appointment as a judge of the Qatar Civil and Commercial Court. Accordingly, the Privy Council allowed the appeal and held that the judge lacked the requisite independence from the outset of his involvement in the winding-up proceedings.
