Ali v Ansar-Ali

Practice – Family proceedings. The Court of Appeal, Civil Division, allowed in part a husband's appeal against an order made following financial remedy proceedings. The order would be amended to align with what had to have been the recorder's underlying intention, by tying the capital provision for the wife to the value of the assets transferred to her rather than her receiving a guaranteed lump sum and by limiting his liability for the costs of winding up a fund to reasonable costs.
