Child – Child abduction. To reach a sound evaluation of the welfare of a boy, aged four-and-a-half, B, a joined-up or holistic evaluation, which included considerations of his brother's future and how their futures could be interwoven, would be undertaken. The Family Division held that it was conceivable, albeit perhaps most unlikely, that an evaluation of their welfare individually and together with the assessment of the mother might result in a decision other than B returning to his father's care after he had been abducted from Spain by his mother with no contact with his father for over three years.
