A Local Authority v F and others

Family proceedings – Orders in family proceedings. In the exceptional circumstances of the case, the father was given limited disclosure sufficient to allow him to understand the case made against him and to make representations, but he would be discharged as a party. The Family Division further granted the local authority relief with respect to the father's involvement in the girls' lives and permitted it not to serve notice of the proceedings or any hearings, or any other documents on the father pending an application to the court for directions without notice to the father as to the father's role in the contemplated proceedings.
