Warrant – Search warrant. The magistrates' court, in issuing warrants to enter and search premises and seize property, the Crown Court, in ordering the retention by the police of unlawfully seized material, and the High Court, in judicially reviewing such decisions, were not precluded from having regard to information which, on public interest grounds, could not be disclosed to any person affected. Accordingly, the Supreme Court dismissed the appellant's appeal against the Divisional Court's decision that it had been open to the lower courts to consider material which had, in the public interest, to be withheld from disclosure.
