*Accident Exchange Ltd v Broom and others

Contempt of court – Criminal contempt. The Administrative Court allowed the claimant's application to commit the defendants to prison on the grounds that each of them engaged in conduct which interfered with the due administration of justice and they were, thereby, in contempt of court. The first to third defendants had admitted the allegations against them, and it was established beyond reasonable doubt that all the allegations against the fourth to seventh defendants had been proved.
