Associate Lawyers, General Counsel's Division

We are looking for talented lawyers who are willing to learn quickly, engage openly and rise to the challenge of working in an organisation that makes a difference to the lives of the millions of people who use financial services. This is an exciting time to join the FCA as we transform to become more innovative, assertive and adaptive, data-led and outcomes-focused. We are expanding our team in London, and establishing a legal presence in Edinburgh and Leeds.

While, of course, we welcome applicants with relevant experience in financial services, regulation or public law, we particularly invite applications from junior lawyers with an appetite to learn and an ability to get up to speed in new areas of law. We will provide an environment where you can grow professionally in a diverse, inclusive and supportive environment. You will have the opportunity to interact with colleagues across the FCA and with other public bodies such as HM Treasury and the Bank of England.

We place great value on your learning and we offer world-class development opportunities which will assist you in achieving your career aspirations. The FCA Academy offers a range of opportunities for personal and professional development, including our MSC in financial regulation, Advanced Managers programme, sponsored study and more.  There are additional learning facilities and training opportunities within GCD aimed specifically at lawyers.

We are an inclusive employer where everyone matters and we are committed to promoting a diverse workforce.  We welcome applications from those returning from career breaks or looking for flexible working arrangements such as part-time working or a job-share.

We also offer a competitive salary, flexible benefits package and non-contributory pension.

For more details on the role and to hear from some of our lawyers:

Applications through the FCA Careers Portal at www.fca.org.uk/careers by midnight (UK time) on Wednesday 3 August 2022.
