Regulatory Advocates

Blake Morgan is one of the UK's leading full service law firms.  Our clients include public sector, not-for-profit organisations, government agencies, commercial businesses and private individuals.

Our Regulatory Business Group, which is one of the largest in the country, is recognised in both Chambers and Legal 500 as a highly regarded team specialising in advising professional regulators and individuals, in a number of sectors including health and social care, accountancy and education.

We are looking to recruit experienced trial advocates, preferably with experience of presenting cases before Fitness to Practise and Conduct and Committee panels, or comparable experience in another sector.

You will be responsible for presenting conduct, competence and health cases before regulatory panels and preparing those cases for hearing by drafting skeleton arguments, allegations and advising on all relevant evidential issues.

In addition to your advocacy before regulatory panels you may, subject to your level of experience and qualification, prepare and present cases before the High Court and have the opportunity to sit as a legal adviser to panels, advising them on law, procedure and helping them draft their decisions.

We are committed to flexible and agile working arrangements which we are happy to discuss with you. Team members currently attend the office on 2 days each week but that requirement will be less for those who are primarily working with us as advocates.

It's a great time to join us and to improve your opportunities in an organisation committed to helping you develop in your career.
