The group games and the semi-finals were held in Cambridge and the Final was held, on 4 August, at the Oval, in London.
The England and Wales Bar team accredited themselves admirably by winning two of their games (a marked improvement on the first world cup performance in Hyderabad!).

The Final was between India and Australia. It was a classic game and a suitable finish to the tournament. India batted first and set Australia a reasonable total which, for much of their reply, Australia did not look like making. However, with just two balls to spare, Australia won in a thrilling climax by two wickets – India therefore narrowly failing to defend their title. The next competition will be in Barbados in 2011.
