On 8 June the Bar Council hosted Judge Monageng of the ICC and colleagues from the ICC Registry who gave a seminar for interested barristers about practice in the ICC. The ICC is seeking to attract female counsel, especially those of African origin, a group underrepresented on the list of Counsel.
The event attracted a good interest with over 40 criminal practitioners attending. Zubair Ahmad and Gillian Higgins reported on their experience in international criminal tribunals and are willing to talk to interested colleagues about this.
Please contact cwisskirchen@barcouncil.org.uk if you wish to be put in touch. The event was video-recorded, so those unable to attend may view it on the Bar Council website.
