This is the first of a series of visits to academies run by the David Ross Education Trust, and is part of a Kalisher Trust initiative to let pupils 13 and upwards see how widely useful it is to think like a lawyer. The team of eight at Skegness ranged from the senior judiciary, Lady Justice Rafferty DBE, to a pupil, as well as every stage in between.

Sketches illustrated a typical day for a criminal barrister – from arrest to trial – as well as practical exercises for the forty pupils who participated. The team hoped to inspire a new generation of criminal barristers whilst it demonstrated that forensic skills are applicable to any profession.
