Matrix’s Crime Team are looking to recruit outstanding criminal trial advocates of 7-12 years’ call who would be interested in covering the diverse range of criminal work undertaken at Matrix. Successful applicants are likely to have demonstrated significant experience in at least one of the following criminal practice areas:

  • Protest
  • Health & safety
  • Sanctions
  • Criminal JR
  • CCRC
  • Official secrets
  • Cybercrime
  • Terrorism
  • Prison law
  • Investigatory powers

The crime team has an outstanding reputation in all areas of criminal law and our members are frequently involved in high profile and complex cases. 

This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy and highly successful team. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about their work and are able to demonstrate that they meet the following criteria:

  • Outstanding advocacy skills;
  • Provides excellent client care;
  • Committed to business development and highly skilled at building relationships, networking and maintaining a client base;
  • Able to manage time effectively to meet deadlines and balance work/personal life;
  • Committed to social responsibility at the Bar; and
  • Passion for the law and public service.
