We are hiring….
- Are you an experienced barrister with an interest in moving into a university environment?
- Do you want a rewarding career offering the chance to shape the next generation of professionals?
- Are you excited by the opportunity to work in a dynamic, progressive Law School with an outstanding track record of delivering excellent professionally focussed legal education?
If so, we want to hear from you.
Based in one of the UK’s largest legal hubs, in a great global city, Manchester Metropolitan University’s Law School offers outstanding opportunities for experienced barristers to play a fulfilling role in shaping and supporting the next generation of barristers.
We value professional experience and so potential candidates will include qualified barristers who demonstrate a commitment to obtain a teaching qualification and possess equivalent significant practice at the Bar, even if they do not necessarily have teaching experience. The role will allow successful candidates to step away from the day-to-day practice at the Bar, while maintaining links with the profession and currency of practice. We have a range of full-time and part-time opportunities available.
We have broad needs across Civil and Criminal, and particularly welcome those with candidates with a Criminal Practice focus in this round. There are also opportunities to contribute to other programmes within the school as required in addition to other exciting career development activities.
This is your chance to make a difference for generations to come and we’d love to hear from you.
To apply, please submit your CV and Covering Letter via our application portal. For informal enquiries, please contact Andrew Francis (Head of School) on Andrew.Francis@mmu.ac.uk
