Applications are invited for the appointment of Her Majesty’s Attorney General in the Isle of Man. Her Majesty’s Attorney General will act as legal adviser to the Lieutenant Governor, the Council of Ministers and the Departments of the Isle of Man Government and such Statutory Boards as the Council of Ministers may determine in relation to matters of law and official matters which are relevant to the Island’s domestic and external interests.
Her Majesty’s Attorney General in the Isle of Man is supported by Chambers, is responsible for drafting Bills for introduction into the Legislature, and will represent the Crown in the prosecution of offences on the Island.
Please note the role of the Her Majesty’s Attorney General in the Isle of Man is currently subject to a review which may alter some of the duties detailed within the office description.
The appointment will be made by Her Majesty The Queen, based on the recommendation of the Selection Panel.
Candidates for this position must meet the following criteria:
• Experience of managing a diverse team at a senior level and providing leadership and direction
