Working in the New Build/Shared Ownership department at Partner level to support and guide existing Fee Earners and support staff

Responsible for business development within the firm as well as specifically the New Build/Shared Ownership department, working and building Client relationships with a range of developers as well as working on own case load of New Build property transactions.

This role involves but is not limited to:

  • Oversee and delegating tasks to Fee Earners Conveyancing Assistant, Paralegals & support staff.
  • Provide Clients and referrers with updates as instructed on New Build transactions
  • Ensuring Service Level Agreements and compliance adhered to by all members within the department.
  • Ensuring file checklists are up to date and followed correctly.
  • Undertaking accreditation and internal training within specific timeframes when required.
  • Ensuring Client, work provider and third party (where required) communication is dealt with promptly.
  • Using internal and external systems where appropriate and necessary to complete tasks.
  • Adequately communicating with Clients, work providers, third parties and other Employees during the course of a property transaction.
  • Ensuring the profile of Taylor Rose MW is marketed efficiently and all new business opportunities are maximised.
  • To meet all compliance requirements, including those related to Anti Bribery, Anti Money Laundering, Data Protection and GDPR.
  • Ensuring that billing and invoicing is at required levels within the department.
  • Experienced in a range of complex property matters and able to resolve technical issues which may arise on files.
  • Providing advice and support for Fee Earners, Conveyancing Assistants and Paralegals.
  • Maintain personal accreditations and billing targets.
  • Provide feedback to the Property Technical Director and HR for appraisals and performance evaluations.
  • Work with the Property Technical Director in the management of the division to work in a profitable and professional manner in order to contribute to the success and development of the company.

Requirements:

  • A senior qualified practising Solicitor with post qualified experience
  • Ability to use case management systems, high standard of computer literacy.
  • Ability to demonstrate specialist knowledge of New Build/Shared Ownership
  • Ability to provide a commercial approach in order to maintain and exceed expected revenue and billing targets.
  • Must be proactive and take initiative.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
