Are you an experienced lawyer considering a move into leadership and management? The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) are looking for Legal Managers to join our diverse workforce across England and Wales.
As a Legal Manager you will lead a team of lawyers and caseworkers in the prosecution of a variety of criminal cases. You will be responsible for providing support, guidance, and direction to your team, helping to ensure pre-charge advice and early intervention (for large and complex cases) is delivered effectively. In your role, you will also contribute to strategic planning and policy making, provide best practice training for your team and other colleagues, work collaboratively with stakeholders from other parts of the criminal justice system and external organisations to improve conviction rates and public confidence.
We are looking for individuals who have criminal practice experience, to off er their support and expertise to their team and the cases they handle. You should be able to prioritise and make decisions under pressure, whilst thinking clearly to secure successful prosecutions. You will also on occasion appear as an advocate in court to maintain your advocacy skills. Leading and managing is central to this role, and we can off er support to all new and experienced individuals to develop their skill and capabilities in this area through our specifically designed Management Development Programme.
