2 KBW has a vacancy for a full time Fees Clerk

With over 70 barristers our specialist areas include criminal law, family law, civil law, immigration and public enquiries. We are business driven.

Chambers is seeking to recruit a highly motivated and hardworking clerk with good knowledge of criminal fees, billing and debt management to join our busy and friendly clerks’ room(s).

Applications are encouraged from individuals with 3+ years’ experience. Ideally the candidate will have previous experience within a barristers’ chambers although training can be given.

The successful applicant will report directly to the Director of Clerking and can be based in either our London or Portsmouth Chambers.

Hours are 9am-5:30pm. Salary package negotiable.

Responsibilities & requirements include:

Criminal CPS & legal aid billing and fee collection

Civil & family billing and fee collection, preferred but not essential

Managing aged debt collection, including creating aged debt reports.

Managing all aspects of fee collection across 2 KBW’s multidisciplinary practice areas.

Producing financial reports.

Proficient in LEX / OPUS 2 case management system or similar professional software.

Strong IT and numeracy skills.

Clear and professional interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to multitask, prioritise efficiently and work under pressure.

Experience of general administrative work and the ability to manage your own workload.
