Tender for barristers panel

The London Boroughs’ Legal Alliance (“LBLA”) is made up of the City of London Corporation; the London Boroughs of Barnet, Brent, Bromley, Camden,

Ealing, Greenwich, Hackney, Hammersmith & Fulham, Haringey, Harrow, Havering, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Islington, Kensington & Chelsea, Newham,

Redbridge, Waltham Forest and Westminster, and London Fire Brigade, (together the “Members”). In order to achieve better value, enhanced service

delivery and more efficient management of matters outsourced to external barristers, the Members appointed a panel of Legal Advisers to a framework

agreement which commenced on 1st January 2016 and will end on 31st December 2019. The Members now wish to re-procure a new panel of legal

advisers as preferred suppliers of specialist advocacy and related legal services.

The City of London Corporation is acting as central purchasing body for the purposes of undertaking this procurement exercise, and will follow a one stage

process in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 Regulations 74 to 78, more commonly known as the Light Touch Regime.

Expressions of interest are welcome from those organisations that can provide high quality and cost effective specialist advocacy and related legal services

under one or more of the following Lots:

Lot 1 – Adult Social Services

Lot 2 – Children’s Services

Lot 3 – Governance & Public Law

Lot 4 – Criminal Litigation & Prosecutions

Lot 5 – Housing

Lot 6 – Planning

Lot 7 – Property

Lot 8 – Civil Litigation

The panel will be open for use by other local authorities in Greater London and South-East England (Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, East Sussex, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Kent, Oxfordshire, Surrey and West Sussex).
