Employment Barrister / Solicitor Advocate - Nationwide

We are looking to attract an Employment Barrister / Solicitor Advocate to join our DWF Advocacy business.

Operating much like an in-house set of chambers, DWF’s barristers and advocates offer specialist advocacy services as well as up-to-the-minute experience across a variety of specialisms such as Commercial, Fraud, Occupational Health & Disease, Catastrophic Injury, Professional Indemnity, Employment, Costs and Inquests.

In particular, our employment law advocates represent both employers and employees at all levels of tribunal and Court on a wide range of employment claims such as discrimination claims unfair/wrongful dismissal, TUPE, misconduct, and regulatory matters. Our advocates sit alongside specialist solicitors, providing a seamless client experience.

The barrister / solicitor advocate will be expected to initially take on an Employment Law heavy practice, we are however keen to speak to candidates who have experience and an interest in a complementary area of practice. Forming part of a well-established team, this career opportunity offers you the chance to work alongside market leading partners to deliver cost-efficient, proportionate and high quality advocacy services to DWF, other solicitor’s practices and clients across multiple geographical locations.

We are keen to attract an applicant with 5+ years PQE (desirable) and previous experience in Employment Law work and at least one additional subspecialism. You will be expected to have the commercial awareness, confidence and ability to seek out, secure and retain new clients from within the business and beyond. In order to be successful in this role, we will expect you to be quick-witted and have a responsible attitude, integrity and a willingness to stay abreast of current affairs in the profession.
