Sentence – Imprisonment. A sentence of three years and four months' imprisonment, imposed on a defendant for two offences of possession of a controlled drug of class A (cocaine and heroin respectively), was quashed and substituted by a sentence of two years and four months' imprisonment, to be served concurrently, but consecutively to a sentence of five years' imprisonment imposed for possession of a disguised firearm. The Court of Appeal, Criminal Division, so ruled in allowing the defendant's appeal against sentence. The new total sentence was seven years and four months' imprisonment.
