Shipping – Carriage by sea. The claimant's appeal against findings of an arbitrator in a shipping dispute was dismissed. The Commercial Court held that a bill of lading holder suing on the bill of lading in contract could recover full damages, despite an earlier recovery from an intermediate seller. The case of R&W Paul Ltd v National Steamship Co Ltd(1937) 59 Ll L Rep 28 remained good law and was binding on the parties.
