R v Stromberg

Criminal law – Conspiracy. The applicant's free-standing application for a writ of venire de novo, setting aside his conviction for conspiracy to commit an offence outside the UK and ordering a retrial, required full argument from the respondent prosecutor. The Court of Appeal, Criminal Division, adjourned the application for further argument, as the issues raised were not wholly straightforward, were of importance and would have wide potential application.
