Perkins Engines Company Ltd v Ghaddar and another

Arbitration – Agreement. The claimant company's interpretation of an arbitration agreement was to be preferred, with the result that a dispute between the parties relating to sales of engines to the second defendant Lebanese company had to be referred to English arbitration. The Commercial Court held that, in the circumstances, there was no reason why an interim anti-suit injunction sought by the claimant ought to be refused.
