Paramaguru v London Borough of Ealing

Housing – House in multiple occupation. The justices had been right to rule that children under 18 were included in the meaning of the term 'residents' in the case of property used as a house in multiple occupation. The Planning Court, in dismissing the appellant's appeal, further held that the justices did have jurisdiction to state a case, as the appellant's conviction for breaching a planning enforcement notice, on a plea of guilty had been a final determination.
