Personal injury – Workplace stress – Negligence – Breach of statutory duty. Court of Session: In an action in which the pursuer sought to recover damages of £1.3m from the defender for psychiatric injury which she alleged had arisen as a result of the conditions of her employment as a member of the Procurator Fiscal Service between May 2010 and February 2013, the court, following a hearing on the relevancy and specification of the pursuer's averments, rejected the defender's invitation to dismiss the action as irrelevant, and concluded that subject to the deletion of certain averments the pursuer's pleadings were sufficient to justify the allowance of proof before answer.
