Lyndon-Stanford QC v Mid-Suffolk District Council

Town and country planning – Permission for development. The Planning Court allowed the claimant's application for judicial review of the defendant local planning authority's grant of planning permission and listed building consent for works to provide three dwellings and to demolish four modern buildings at Grade II listed barns. The claim succeeded on the basis of the significantly misleading nature of reports dealing with the history of the claimant's efforts to acquire the barns and to put them in good repair.
