Practice – Summary judgment. The Chancery Division held that applications to strike out and/or amend a claim, made by the claimants and defendants, would be dismissed. The claim, which arose from alleged false representations made by a film company to which the defendants were connected, was not struck out, but the claimants needed to carry out a serious review of what allegations could properly be made against each of the defendants and limit the scope of those allegations to matters that had a reasonable prospect of establishing at trial.
