H Aygun v Boochoon

Personal Injury: Quantum case. Orthopaedic injuries. Road traffic accident. PSLA of £2,300. The claimant suffered from pain in his neck, back and shoulders. He took painkillers and underwent 10 physiotherapy sessions. No time off work was taken. On the basis of medical evidence, damages were awarded only for half of the claimant's symptoms as he has sustained injuries from an RTA two months after the index accident. The prognosis for the injuries were 50% of symptoms persisting for 16–18 months in his neck, 50% of symptoms persisting for 12—14 months, and 50% of symptoms persisting for six to eight months were thought to be causally relevant.
