The General Court of the European Union dismissed the action brought by the applicant against a decision of the First Board of Appeal of the European Union Intellectual Property Office, upholding a rejection of its application for registration of a European Union word sign 'MACCOFFEE' on the basis of the earlier European Union word mark 'McDONALD'S' held by the intervener.
